The role:

As a Senior Back-end Engineer in the Recognition squad, you will be a part of creating an exciting new, social peer-to-peer recognition product. This will involve ingestion of a client's employee data and maintaining its integrity, all whilst enriching and extracting meaning from it to ultimately power a series of high-performing, robust APIs upon which our Frontend Engineers can craft world-class products for the web and mobile.

You will:

  • own the roadmap for the Backend technical chapter, facilitating discussion and guiding learning paths;

Have experience of:

  • Java 8+ or another JVM-based language
  • Spring / Spring Boot
  • Creating secure, autonomous HTTP-based APIs
  • Using NoSQL stores, preferably MongoDB & Redis
  • Maven / Gradle
  • CI/CD using Jenkins Pipelines or an alternative
  • Git / Github
